Count and General Givenor of Nouvelle-France, Frontenac is born in Saint-Germain-en-Laye on May 22, 1622. One of the most stormy and influencial figures in the history of Canada, he is known as the Architect of the french expansion in North America and the defensor of Nouvelle-France against the Iroquian Confederation and English colonies.
He died in Quebec City on November 28th, 1698.
